The United States of America as a nation should limit its yearly immigration numbers. I do not oppose immigration, I think that it is great that people have the opportunity to leave their country and move to America in order to start a new life. However, at the same time I feel that the United States should not just open it's doors to anyone and everyone. There should be strict limitations to the number of yearly immigrants allowed to enter the U.S. After watching the video with Roy Beck I was shocked by the statistics that he showed, escpecially his chart. There is proof that the United States is already experiencing a growing popultation with limitless immigration these would easily lead to over crowded cities, school, hospitals, ect. Great numbers of imigrants would cause job shortages for both Americans, and new immigratnts coming in. Also the economy and environment would be strained, because we would need to make room for more people by building up and expanding. The costs for the many immigrants each year and the overpopulated areas would be a true burden to the United States. With restrictions to immigration the United States would be able to limit the population, while balancing the economy, to hopefully lead into a successful future.
